HOUSE Spring TOURNAMENT
The Celtic House Recreation program hosts a fall and spring tournament for all the teams in the U9-U14 age divisions. The objective of the tournament is to compete and have fun to see who can win the season end tournament trophy. It has been a tradition at Celtic for over 25 years. The players and coaches look forward to the night games during the fall and spring and the excitement of championship weekend.
In the fall, teams participate in a point based tournament. The teams compete in 2-3 games and then teams with the highest point total move on to play in semi final and final/championship games to win a tournament trophy.
Traditionally, in the spring, teams participate in a single elimination tournament. As teams win, they continue to move on to try and compete in the championship game.
Fuel up and Cool Down!
Food vendors will be at this year's spring tournament, adding to the fun and festivities. They’ll be there all weekend from ~11 AM through the afternoon. My Flavor It! Place will be serving delicious ice cream treats and Tre Amici Pizza will be on-site in the concession stand serving pizza, hot dogs, chips, cotton candy, and drinks. Plus, a portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Palatine Celtic Soccer Club, so you can enjoy delicious food while giving back to our club. Come for the exciting soccer games, indulge in tasty treats, and help make this tournament weekend truly special!

Cool Down with Sweet Treats at the soccer field! My Flavor It! Place will be serving ice cream treats and shaved ice. Whether you're celebrating a win, your spring season with your team, or just need to beat the heat, swing by for a refreshing pick-me-up.

Tournament Information
Double Elimination Tournament
In the double elimination format, the bracket is set up to identify the two teams that will play in the final. One team will have zero loses and the other will have one loss.
The tournament final is a winner take all format.
The team with one loss does not need to beat the team with zero loses twice to be the tournament
champion.
- 2 game guarantee
- After two losses, a team is eliminated from the tournament
- Each game will be played to confirm a winner. No games shall end in a tie/draw.
- If the game is tied, teams will not play extra periods, the game shall move directly to a shootout.
