The Celtic SC Recreational House Program is designed to provide a venue for the recreational soccer player to learn fundamentals while developing self-esteem and teamwork. The Recreational program hosts about 1,500 players ranging from U6 thru U14 for both boys and girls. The two seasons consist of approximately six-eight weeks of division games that begin the weekend after Labor Day with girls' games on Saturdays and boys' games on Sundays. All Recreational teams will participate in the Jimmy Kinsella Recreational Fall Tournament at the end of October. The spring season begins in mid-April (weather permitting) and continues through early June.
The goal of the Recreational Program is to provide players of all skills and abilities an opportunity to learn the game of soccer along with other children their age. The teams are formed based on age, grade, and ability with an equal number of players rated appropriately by their coaches from the previous season. Travel players who also choose to play in the Recreational Program are distributed equally amongst the teams.
If this is your first time registering for a Celtic House program, you must first create an account on Sports Engine with an email address and password. (top right corner- log in/create an account)
Once you have created your Sports Engine account, you can click the registration link and register players for programming.

If I have a question regarding what team my child is on? Who do I contact?
Click here for the Division Directors.
When will my child's team practice and have games?
Practice days/times are set by the coaches. Since all of our coaches are volunteers, the club gives them flexibility with their practice schedules. Generally coaches will practice Monday\Wednesday or Tuesday\Thursday, but some will have their own schedule based on their availability.
Games days are Saturday for the Girls starting at 9:00am and Sunday for the Boys starting at 12pm.
I do not live in the Palatine Park District boundaries, can I still register?
Yes! We welcome residents from our neighboring communities to play for Celtic SC. We have a set fee for all.
My child wants to play both fall and spring seasons and I can't find where to register for spring.
Currently we have separate registration times for fall and spring. Normally, fall registration opens in early June and closes in late July and spring registration opens in mid January and closes in early March.
Who will be my child's coach?
Celtic SC house league relies solely on volunteer coaches to coach our house teams. If you are interested in volunteering to coach a house team in the fall or spring season, please register.
My child has never played soccer before, can they still join the league?
Yes. The Celtic house league is a developmental, recreational league and is open to all levels of skill. We will distribute new players amongst teams so that they can learn from their peers as they go.
How are players placed on teams for the season?
Our volunteer directors spend time assembling team rosters based on current player evaluations from previous coaches. New players are asked to attend a player rating night in the summer to have their skill level assessed so they can be adequately placed on a team, while maintaining a balance of skill levels across the division. Teams are equally divided to balance high level players with new players to provide the best season experience for all players in the league.
What type of uniform will my player wear?
We are excited to provide each player with athletic, dry wick jerseys. Our house uniforms will now provide a more consistent look across the club. Players will need to provide black shorts and equipment such as shin guards and soccer cleats. The league will also provide black or green soccer socks for each player.
