US Soccer Grassroots NEW Referee Training information:
Steps to become an employee (Celtic referee) with the Palatine Park District:
Link for the park district online employment application (type in the search soccer referee):
After you fill out the online application, you will need to go into the Community Center and on the 2nd floor, to the left of the stairs, is a small window. From there, you ask for the employment packet to become a Celtic soccer referee. In that packet, it gives you the info on how to get a work permit from D15 or the HS you attend and then you fill out that paperwork and turn it back in to the same window on the 2nd floor.
After the submission of paperwork, please contact Carsten Gruettner at firstname.lastname@example.org to alert him of your desire and application to become a referee.
Big news for 2003/04 Celtic player Paige Millstone who was invited to the United State Youth National Team Training Center in Chicago on March 5th. Paige was one of 18 players selected in the 2004 age group to attend the training center. She was part of a group that included players from Eclipse, Sockers FC, FC United, and others.
Paige has worked tremendously hard for this invitation. It was a great opportunity to have one of Celtic's players be included in this elite group. We congratulate Paige and look forward to more of our players being called in for opportunities like this.
The Palatine Celtic Soccer Club was founded in 1968 by Bill Hughes and Jimmy Kinsella, a transplanted Scotsman. Together, they were the first people in Palatine to organize local children into teams to play the game of soccer. Jimmy named the Club after his home club, Glasgow Celtic.
The Palatine Celtic Soccer Club is affiliated with the Palatine Park District and provides youth soccer programs for girls and boys ages 4-18. Many of the players on the William Fremd and Palatine High School varsity soccer teams have played either recreational and/or travel soccer under the Celtic banner. Palatine Celtic Soccer Club is also home to The Celtic Cup Labor Day Tournament featuring over 400 teams.
