2021-22 Winter Season

Seasonal Junior Celtic players start practice 2nd week of January.

Due to the Park District's limited indoor turf space, we will accommodate as many families as we can, but until the Park District expands their turf field at Falcon Park, all sports in Palatine are very limited in what they can offer because we are all sharing the same space.  Registration for waitlisted players is now in progress and will continue until we fill the remaining spots in the program.

The winter season will run for 10 weeks on Mondays/Wednesdays and Tuesdays/Thursdays at Falcon Park for all full year players and winter seasonal players.  Players who are new to the Junior Celtic Program will receive a New Balance uniform kit (2 jerseys, shorts, and socks), as its part of the $425 winter program player fee.

WINTER REGISTRATION OPTION 1:  Monday and Wednesday 4-5pm. First practice 1/10. Last practice 3/17.
WINTER REGISTRATION OPTION 2: Tuesday and Thursday 4-5pm. First practice 1/11. Last practice 3/18.

**First winter practice for full year players is 12/ 7/21.

Players who commit to all three seasons upfront receive a discounted program player fee. Families who have a total of three or more children in either Celtic Travel Program or Junior Celtic Program should contact Jen Jeschke for details on Celtics' family discount.

General Program Information

The Junior Celtic Development Program is designed to give your child the opportunity to build a solid foundation in technical development in the early years of playing and enjoying the game of soccer. The Junior Celtic Development Program is led by USSF Nationally licensed coach Jen Jeschke. Our program serves as an introductory and advanced path for children with birth years 2014 to 2016. This design facilitates developmental progression recommended by the United States Soccer Federation as well as the US Youth Soccer Association. We are committed to providing fun, educational and a progressive experience for your youth soccer players.

Players can register as a full year player (Sept-June) or register by season (fall, winter, or spring). The Junior Celtic Program runs through the winter months to keep the players busy and their skills sharp. If you are looking for a program for your 6-, 7- or 8-year-old, there is no better program in the Northwest suburbs. The best experience by far is to register for the year and start your journey as a Celtic SC player!

2021-2022 Program Overview

This program includes:

  • Professionally licensed staff coaches at all practices and games
  • 50+ hours of practice sessions
  • 30+ hours of games
  • New Balance Jr. Celtic Uniform Kit

The Junior Celtic Program is an introduction to aspects of playing in our competitive program and will follow a unique Celtic curriculum to develop and prepare our players the best way we know how. It will follow the same principles and philosophy as our travel program currently does. If you are looking for a program that will improve players in every session, Junior Celtic is the place to be for young players.

GOAL: The Junior Celtic Program will keep your players soccer experience fun, enjoyable and help foster a desire to play. Our program values respect, discipline, and hard work. It’s our hope to create a love of the game while giving players all the tools they need to be successful in our competitive program.  The objective of our program is to prepare players born in 2014-2016 for the travel program. We believe in a holistic player centered approach where players are challenged to learn their skills while playing in game situations, where players can develop decision making skills, problem solving skills and gain a sense of teamwork in a setting that is stage and age appropriate, while still emphasizing fun.

STAFF: Coach Jen Jeschke will lead the Junior Celtic Program for the 2021-22 season and will oversee the Junior Celtic Program.

REGISTRATION: There are two options. Full year registration and seasonal registration.  All players born in 2014-2016 (01/01/2014 to 12/31/2016) both boys & girls are encouraged to register. There is no tryout for this program. We welcome players of all abilities!
