President's Cup and Illinois Junior Cup playoffs

The 2001 (U19) and 2003 (U17) female Celtic teams both went undefeated throughout their President’s Cup group play this fall.  Having fought through numerous injuries and personnel changes, these teams found a way to get results every match.

The 2003 Celtic squad gave up zero goals during their competitions. Outstanding performances from the goalkeeper and back line denied every chance opponents had.  Game in and game out, the team dominated ball possession. They will miss the playoffs this season after coming up short on points.

Playing in the President’s Cup semi-finals this upcoming weekend, the 2001 Celtic team solidified their group win on October 19.  The squad breezed through their matches, scoring seven goals in two games. They go into the weekend in great form with hopes of making it to the final.

Palatine Celtic 2008 Showcase Boys have qualified for the Illinois Junior Cup Semi Final this coming Saturday morning in Rockford.  After dropping their first match, they trained hard every session to be more competitive. The practice sessions definitely paid off.  They won all three remaining matches this past weekend and outscored their opponents 14 to 1. They can advance to play in the Illinois Junior Cup Final in the afternoon.

Best of luck Palatine Celtic!
