The Jr. Celtic Program

This program is intended for the U6 and U7 age group. The goal is to develop young players who will go onto play Celtic when they are ready.  This program also gives players the opportunity to be trained twice per week with a professionally licensed staff coach. Celtic recognizes that players are in the very early stages of physical, mental, and psychomotor development.  As a result, the Junior Celtic focus is on the development of balance, agility, cognitive motor skills and how they relate to soccer. Training is designed to build foundational soccer skills including passing, shooting, and dribbling plus physical literacy skills.  This is a player development program where the emphasis is improving the player’s technical and physical ability while having fun.  All players are welcome and there is no tryout!

GOAL: The objective of the Jr. Celtic program is to develop soccer skills in a low-pressure environment.  We focus much of the time on improving each individual player while fostering the player's enjoyment of soccer.

STAFF: Coach Vashon Watkins will be the Head Staff Coach for the Jr. Celtic program for the 2017/18 season. Our Assistant Director of Soccer Operations will oversee the management of the program. In addition, other Celtic professional staff and Celtic coaches-in-training will guide these young players to improved physical literacy, skill development, and fun.

REGISTRATION: Registration for the Jr. Celtic program occurs on an ongoing basis throughout the year.  You can register online for the 2017/2018 Jr. Cetlic program here.
