U7-U8 House Leagues Overview
The U7 and U8 House divisions play 5 v 5 on a small field with a size 4 ball. In soccer lingo this is known as a small-sided game. The duration of each game is 40 minutes consisting of four 10-minute quarters. Younger kids take longer to substitute so the quarter breaks allow U8 coaches to prepare game lineups maximizing playing time.
We play 8 matches in the fall and another 5 matches in the spring including a special game in the Celtic Spring Tournament where the youngsters get to experience the excitement of a tournament festival atmosphere.
